The matriarch of the Yoruba genre of Nollywood lost one of her daughters Omolola in the wee hours of Friday January 15.
Omolola was said to have suffered chronicle ulcer and was rushed to Tomade hospital, Ojodu, Lagos around 11.45 pm on Thursday, January 14. She eventually passed away in the hospital leaving the mother uncontrollable. Omolola’s husband who is popularly known as Osbond said that the deceased, Omolola was supposed to travel to the United States this month January.
A call was put through to Femi Philips Iya rainbow’s first son and he confirmed the death of his sister but was too shock to give details.
This is an irreparable loss to Madam Idowu Philips otherwise known as Iya Rainbow as she single-handedly brought up her children after losing her husband in 1984.
We pray God give Iya Rainbow the fortitude to bear the loss.
